Daryl Liew-On of cocktail bar the Rumah, a cocktail expert and hospitality entrepreneur in heart and soul. Since the lockdown, he has been committed to the #supportyourlocals movement and often collaborates with other local entrepreneurs. After hearing the story of Heilige Boontjes coffee, a hearty cup of coffee made by ex-inmates and other youngsters who are less promising, Daryl got a Next Level idea.
He immediately recognized this story in the Santa Teresa rum brand from Venezuela. They set up the Project Alcatraz project in order to offer (ex) prisoners and (ex) gang members a place in society again. During the lockdown, Santa Teresa rum also supports bartenders who are now out of work by selling special bottles with the proceeds for the bartenders. Also very Next Level!
And so the most delicious espresso Martini was born!
